Food and Nutrition
Effective Monday, August 17, 2020, the Muscogee County School District will distribute meals to currently enrolled District students at all District school sites each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Meals will be distributed 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., in the following manner tentatively through September 9, 2020, to ensure the volume of weekly meals is maintained to a breakfast and lunch meal per weekday during the District-wide virtual learning model:
In preparation for the virtual learning meal service, we encourage parents to note the following details:

- Wednesday – Two breakfast and two lunch meals
- Friday – One breakfast and one lunch meal
In preparation for the virtual learning meal service, we encourage parents to note the following details:
- Students must be currently enrolled.
- Students are not required to be present during pickup. However, parents should be prepared to provide each student’s name, assigned school, and PersonID number (if known).
- Students are responsible for applicable meal fees, based upon their free, reduced, or paid status, if attending one of the traditionally paying schools:

- Parents can pre-pay for meals in MySchoolBucks or submit cash payments toward each student account.
- Free and reduced meal applications are accessible online, at each student’s assigned school, and the Public Education Center on 2960 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia.
- The meal service will be adjusted once the District implements the choice model (tentatively after September 9, 2020)
